What is Beyond the Brain?
Beyond the Brain was created to take Glasgow Neuro’s commitment to student education beyond neuroscience. The series covers topics from across medicine, helping students consolidate core concepts, prepare for assessments and build confidence as they progress through medical school.
Via peer-based learning, exam-style MCQ practice sessions, and clinical workshops, we master all aspects of medical school, condensing complex seemingly-endless information into high-yield, digestible units that integrate seamlessly with your medical school studies.

Teaching Across Medical School
Beyond the Brain primarily delivers a structured programme of teaching aligned with the University of Gkasgow Medical School's Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 medical curricula, ensuring consistent coverage of core neuroscience and clinical neurology. In addition, we offer targeted, high‑yield teaching on selected advanced topics and focused revision sessions for senior medical students, designed to consolidate knowledge, enhance exam performance, and build confidence in real clinical settings.
Year 1
Foundational teaching across the Year 1 curriculum. Supportive introductory sessions to ease into medical school

Teaching and revision across core Year 2 topics, including neurology and neuroanatomy
Year 3
Clinical teaching supporting the Year 3 curriculum and assessments, setting up students well for clincal placements
