Clinical placements

 

The Institute of Neurological Sciences is based at the new Queen Elizabeth University Hospital ‘superhospital’ and major trauma centre, providing adult neurosurgical and neurological care for the west of Scotland, covering a population of 2.7 million. It is linked with the paediatric Neuroscience Units at the adjacent new Royal Hospital for Children. The Institute has a longstanding reputation for excellence in research and is the site of the development of the Glasgow Coma Scale, now used in over 80 countries worldwide.
